WHAT IS THE K-GUILD?
The K-Guild is a non-profit organization for those studying Chemical engineering, Biotechnology, and Food Science at LTH. The Guild is non-political and non-religious, and the work at the Guild is performed by volunteers.
HI THERE, AND WELCOME TO THE K-GUILD!
Dear Nolla, we are the board of the K-guild, and we want to warmly welcome you to the best and yellowest guild there is!
The Board consists of 8 people who are ultimately responsible for the functioning of our fantastic guild, and that all members feel good and get to take part in everything the guild has to offer. In addition to sitting on the Board, we all study Chemistry or Biotechnology just like you, and when you can't find us in the lecture halls, we spend our time in the Boardroom, "Styris", opposite the entrance to our common room Gallien. During the Introduction we will run around to answer all the questions you may have, and you will recognize us by our stylish coats. Some of us will also be mentors and get the chance to get to know you a little extra.
Moving to a new city, starting to study a new education, and meeting lots of new people can feel overwhelming, but we on the Board are here for you. If there is anything that does not feel right, or any question that needs to be answered – Please do not hesitate to talk to us! Purpose
The goal of the Guild is to give all members the best experience of their time at LTH as possible. We achieve this by creating a feeling of community, making use of common interests and by being a support for the members in their studies.
Inspector
Hello!
My name is Jenny Schelin and since January 2024 I have had the privilege of being an Inspector for the K-section! This means that I am always on hand for advice and support for the Section's activities - I am by your side and you are always welcome to contact me if you have questions, concerns or just want to chat for a while! I am a microbiologist with a focus on food microbiology as a research and teaching subject. I have worked full-time at LTH since 2007 and am an associate professor and senior lecturer in the Biotechnology and Technical Microbiology department at the Department of Process Engineering and Applied Life Sciences. In the Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering programs, I teach, among other things, microbiology, molecular cell biology, food microbiology and quality and product safety for the food and pharmaceutical industries!
I'll be making a few appearances here and there during the Zeroing, and you'll recognize me by my yellow and black robe. I'd be super happy if you'd come by and say hello, and otherwise you can always contact me at inspector@ksek.se.
