At the K-guild we work towards including everyone that wants to participate in our activities. An important part of this is to create a healthy drinking culture. Alcohol is never the main purpose of an event and you should always be able to participate and have fun regardless if you drink or not.
From Monday to Wednesday of the first week, all events are completely alcohol-free. The purpose of this is to give you time to get to know your group and become comfortable with each other before parties/events with alcohol occur. After that, the Nolla can party more as they want, which means that it is the Nolla themselves who decide whether they want to drink alcohol or not.
There is zero tolerance towards pressuring others to drink during the WHOLE Introduction. The mentors are well informed about this and will do their utmost to make sure that alcohol does not become a disruptive element of the Introduction.
If you feel like the drinking culture at an event or in the group becomes uncomfortable you can always turn to a mentor or someone of the Guild's Safety and Equality Officers. Partying and celebrations are an appreciated and fun part of the Introduction. Everyone should feel comfortable and safe at these events.
