Mentor Groups Mentor leader Group Mission Leader Group mentors The K-pHaktors Study Mentors Extra Mentors

Mentor Groups

The Mentors are older students at the K-Guild who are there to help the Nolla get through the first time in Lund. The Nolla will spend a lot of time with its mentor group and can always turn to the Mentors if they have questions or need help with something. Hopefully, the Mentors will help the Nolla thrive and without them the Introduction would not be possible!

The international mentor group consist of: 1 Mentor Leader, 2 Group Mission Leader, 10 Group Mentors and 1 K-pHaktor

Mentor leader

The mentor leader is like all other mentors in the group, current students at the K-Guild, both Swedish and international. The mentor leader is responsible for the group functioning and that the group sticks to the deadlines and guidelines that exist. Towards the Nolla, the mentor leader has the same responsibilities and obligations as the rest of the mentors in the group. The Nolla can go to this mentor just as well as any other mentors with their questions.

Group Mission Leader

The Group Mission Leader, like all other Mentors in the group, current students at the K-Guild. The Group Mission Leader is responsible for making sure the Mission runs smoothly and that the group sticks to deadlines and guidelines related to the Mission. In relation to the Mentees, the Group Mission Leader has the same responsibilities and duties as the other Mentors in the group. A Mentee can go to this mentor just as well as any other mentors with their questions.

Group mentors

The group mentors, along with the K-pHaktor and the mentor leader, are the first people the Nolla will meet during the Introduction. The group mentors are together responsible for one of the Nolle-missions where Nollan gets the opportunity to get to know new friends and compete against other guilds at LTH during some of the introductions' biggest events. The Group mentors know everything about the student life and LTH. If the Nolla has any questions or needs help with something, the group mentors are always there to help out and guide the Nolla, both during the introduction and after!

K-pHaktor

The K-pHaktors are a group of 8 happy people who plan several activities during the Introduction. They love the Introduction and hope that the Mentee will feel the same! The Mentee will recognize them by their white coats, and to find them the Mentee only needs to follow the sound of music. The Mentee will most likely find the K-pHaktors dancing, and if the Mentee wishes to practice the traditional Introduction-dances they are more than welcome to join the K-pHaktors! There is one K-pHaktor in each of the mentor groups, and they can answer almost any question the Mentee might have about the Introduction. While the Mentee might prefer to ask their own K-pHaktor, they shouldn’t hesitate to ask any of them as they are there to make the Introduction as great as possible for everyone!

Study mentor (only in Swedish mentor groups)

The study mentor acts as a helping hand for all things study related. If the Nolla has any questions about how to manage a study-life balance, if the Nolla needs help with a math problem, or if the Nolla just wants some study tips, the Nolla can ask their study mentor for help! Every Swedish mentor group has a study mentor who will also be there during the study nights during the Introduction. The study nights are hosted by the K-Guild’s Study committee and take place on Mondays study week 2, 3 and 4.

Extra Mentors

Extra mentors are group mentors who only participate as mentors when they have time to do so. The extra mentors are students who, on top of being mentors, have other big commitments at the K-guild which leave them with less time to act as mentors. Maybe the Nolla will see an extra mentor work at a dinner party in Gasque or prepare for a pub in Gallien. The extra mentors will do their best to help the Nolla as much as possible, but might disappear sometimes to do other things. Don’t hesitate to ask the extra mentors if the Nolla has any questions, either about the Introduction or about the Guild and being a volunteer.
